Water Fun

We invested in a pool and slipnslide that were on clearance a few weeks ago. It was the best decision! Fisher has loved his water play, and even Sullivan has enjoyed splashing in the water. Fisher loves to go "swimming" every day, and we've had a lot of fun watching him splash and play!

Sullivan's Baby Dedication

We had Sullivan dedicated at church a few weeks ago. We had every intention of doing it on Mother's Day, but our family was out of town, so it just now happened. I love baby dedication-publicly acknowledging that you are giving your children to the Lord, and the church family also making a promise to support you in that decision and assist the family in growing your children in the Lord. It's a beautiful thing. :)

We had Fisher with us, and he did so well! Probably because he was overwhelmed. :) He did like to point out the American flag that was in front of the church. I told Nellie at least he didn't yell "American flag!", which is what he does in the grocery store. It was a wonderful service of dedication!

Sullivan was so attentive-he stared at Bro. Danny the entire time he was talking.

Sullivan is Six Months Olds

* Sullivan weighs 16 lbs 14 oz, is 26 inches long, and his head is 13 3/4 cm around.
* He wears size 3-6 month clothes, and he wears one-size cloth diapers (size 2 in disposables)
*He can roll over from back to front and front to back. It's funny to watch him roll and wiggle to get across the room. He is also sitting like a champ!
*He loves to hold onto things and puts everything in his mouth!
* He loves to be in his swing, in the Bumbo, or when I wear him
*He has discovered his toes, and is always reaching for them and holding them.
* He nurses every 1.5-3 hours. When he takes a bottle, he'll drink 4-5 ounces.
* Sleep: not doing so well in this department! He usually wakes up every 2-3 hours. He takes 3-4 naps a day, but they only last around 30 minutes.
*He smiles and coos all the time-he is the happiest baby! He loves to laugh and giggle.
*His eyes are constantly changing color-they will be blue/gray, then hazel depending on lighting and his outfit.
*He is a chatterbox! He talks all of the time-his favorite time to have long conversations is around 630-7 in the morning. :/
* He is loved by his big brother, and the feeling is mutual. Sullivan lights up and just grins when Fisher is around. They sit across from each other at the dinner table, and Sullivan is constantly smiling and talking to Fisher. The first thing Fisher does in the morning is run to Sullivan and give him a hug and a kiss.
*We call Sullivan Brother or Brother Bear more often than we call him Sullivan. So much so, that Fisher tells me his name is "Brother John Nelson"
* Nicknames: Sully, Brother, Bug, Brother Bear

Water Park Fun

We FINALLY made it to the water park a few weeks ago-nothing like waiting until the week before it closes to go, huh?! :) we had a great time! Fisher was more interested in the playground at first, and it took him a while to warn up to playing in the water.

Sullivan loved the water from the start! I hadn't intended to get him wet, but it was so hot. He was kicking and splashing! Hopefully we'll manage to go more often next summer!
