Outdoor Adventures and a Special Treat

We've been loving this weather lately! The boys play so much better together outside, not to mention the fact that they get worn out, too! I've been trying to capitalize on our sunny days.
We went to the park last week. We walked a few laps around the lake, and then played on the playground. We were there at 8 (!)-this is what happens when your kids get up at 6 am, and stayed until about 10.

This past weekend we headed out to the Grove, our church's outdoor camping, etc, facilities. They were having a lot of fun activities for families, so YaYa and Pops took the boys and let me gone along!
Fishy tried rock climbing. I was so proud of him! He's normally pretty reserved, especially when it comes to doing new things, but he hopped right into the harness and climbed!

We made pine cone bird feeders with crisco (it's good for everything!) and bird seed.

We went canoeing!

"Fishing"

And, my little mud lovers one day this week. We had a blast-I think we were outside from 9 until naps, then back outside until we ate dinner.

We made a quick trip to the grocery store before MDO one day this week. I let the boys pick out a doughnut, and of course they both wanted chocolate with sprinkles. A sprinkle doughnut and their favorite car cart=day made for these two!

Randoms, Trikes, and Gardens

It's a hodgepodge post, but that's the way it goes!

The boys in their Easter outfits (the weeks after) ready to go to church. So handsome!

Posing with YaYa before taking Fishy to MDO.

A little naked picnic :)

Trike-a-thon at MDO. Fishy was so fast, but it helps when you're one of the only kids without pedals on your bike!

Stopping to visit with YaYa and Cohen.

My first attempt at a garden. Yes, I'm probably doing a lot wrong and I don't have high expectations, but it's been fun and the boys are loving helping me with it.

We got strawberries! Even if this is the only plant that produces, I'll label this project a success because of how much the boys have enjoyed it. They fight over who gets to pick and eat our little strawberries.

Sullivan's Two Year Checkup

S went last month for his checkup. It confirmed what I already knew-he's healthy, still hates going to the doctor, and he's a tiny guy. He weighed in at 23 pounds, which is the third percentile, and was 34 1/4 inches tall, which is in the 50th percentile. I think that now that he's finally drinking more whole milk (he wasn't really interested while he was still nursing, and we just stopped that in the past few weeks), he might pack on a few more pounds. But I'm not worried! This kid eats like it's going out of style!

Bless him! He is absolutely traumatized at the thought of being weighed!

Pictures, Zoo Trip, Easter

I got these proofs back from Fisher's spring pictures, and I laughed so hard! I didn't order any, but I love them anyways.

We went to the zoo a few weeks ago with Jamie, Asher, and Cohen.

The grizzlies put on a show!

Easter celebration at MDO

Twins, and it wasn't even planned

We read a book about doughnuts, and the boys thought it would be a great idea to get some. It's definitely a special treat for them, but I was disappointed because the doughnuts weren't very good. :/ the boys didn't seem to mind, though.

Egg hunt at Buckhead

My sweet boy. He was so excited about finding one egg-he wanted to open it up right then and eat his candy. I convinced him to search for another one, and after that he was finished. He was so thrilled!

He loves him some Cohen!

Easter. We didn't get to make it to church because Daddy was sick, but we enjoyed our day!

The best attempt at getting a picture of YaYa and Pops with all their boys!
