Oh, Butternut

This week I started making Fisher's baby food. It was surprisingly easy! It's recommended that you start them off with orange vegetables because they're the most nutritious. Fisher won't start trying baby food for a few more months, but I wanted to get a head start. Today's menu: butternut squash! I documented the process :)

I Have No Title

Sorry, all out of creativity tonight in attempting to come up with a catchy title. So, there is no title, which is a title in itself. Anyways, we're gearing up for Halloween tomorrow! Fisher tried on his outfit to make sure it fit...

oh I could just squeeze him forever!!
This week we also worked on grabbing things, especially in the bathtub.

We loved on Asher...

Fisher watched some HGTV with me...

and made his daddy proud by falling asleep :)
Fisher and I also made a Halloween craft that I found on (where else??) Pinterest.

Pumpkin Palooza

This past Friday we were able to go to a local pumpkin patch and pick out some pumpkins for Fisher. We had a great time and got some great pictures! Here are some of my favorites!!

Weekly Musings

Busy week as usual! It was kind of a photo fail for me, so I don't have much to offer in the way of pictures. Sorry!! We had a really great visit to the pumpkin patch, and I've got lots of cute pictures that I have to get uploaded. Of course, I have to find the time to do that!

Until that gets done, here are just a few pictures from our week.

Fisher managed to go through all 3 pairs of pants that I had in his diaper bag when he was with Yaya, so she had to resort to putting some of Pops' socks on him. Homemade babylegs :)

Spent lots of time loving on this little man :)

Our little Memphis Tiger, all tuckered out. Watching football with Daddy was too much excitement. :)
I hope everyone else had a great week, too!!

JDRF Walk

I forgot to post on this a few weeks ago, so here it is now. We participated in the JDRF (which benefits typle 1 diabetes) walkathon. We created a team with our Sunday school class-Team NellyWood. Nelly=for the hubs, and Wood=for our friend Dan Underwood. They both have type 1, or insulin dependent, diabetes. JDRF is always working towards a cure and better treatment for diabetes. It was a beautiful day at Shelby Farms, and we were glad to be walking for an excellent cause. Over $30000 was raised that day!!

Fisher's ready to walk!

Asher is Here!

My little sister Jamie gave birth to Asher Barrett Odom on October 17, 2011. He was born at 1008 and weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces (which was my EXACT prediction! Am I good or what?). We are so excited that Asher is here! I know that he and Fisher will be the best of friends and cousins, and we can't wait to watch them grow up together!!

Fisher's Baby Dedication

We dedicated Fisher back to the Lord this past Sunday. We know that Fisher is already God's, but this was our public acknowledgement of that. Elizabeth was also dedicated, so it was a family affair!

Fisher's 4 Month Checkup

Fisher had his 4 month check up yesterday! He did great! I've already mentioned his weight and height in a previous post. We also discussed starting cereal in the next month, and starting baby foods around 6 months (it really can't be time for that already, right?!). Dr. Catherine said Fisher was advanced :) He also got his yucky shots :(

Lady, what are you doing??

not happy about being on the scale

I love talking to Daddy!
