15 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Nelson is the size of an avocado

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I've gained around 3 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I'm still in all my regular clothes, but that's easy to do when you mostly wear scrubs and workout clothes!

Gender: We won't know until the baby gets here! I don't have a feeling one way or the other yet.

Movement: I haven't felt anything yet.

Sleep: I wake up several times a night to go to the bathroom.
What I miss: Being able to sleep for more than a few hours without having to go to the bathroom, or being able to go more than a hour during the day without having to go!! yeesh.

Cravings: nothing in particular this week

Symptoms: Nausea is minimal at this point, which I am very thankful for! I'm still fatigued, but I take naps every day when Fishy naps.

Best Moment this week: being one week closer to baby!

Outside Fun

I mentioned before that Fisher got a belated birthday gift from YaYa and Pops. He has been loving his new playgym! You know I took pictures to document the occasion. :)

15 Month Check Up

Fisher had his 15 month check up with Dr. Catherine last week. Normally, he doesn't mind going to the doctor. He lets Ms. Tracy or Ms. Iola (the nurses) carry him to the scale and measure him without making a fuss. Not this time. He was not having any of it! He cried as soon as he saw Ms. Tracy-he remembers the shots she gives him!!

I had to carry him to the scale and put him on it to weigh him, and I had to help him stay still so she could measure him. He didn't mind Dr. Catherine so much, as long as she was just talking to him. BUt when she touched him, he was all done. It was actually kind of funny. :)

Fisher had a great report, except for his weight. He hasn't gained any weight at all from his 12 month check up, so he dropped from the 25th %ile to the 5th. I'm not so worried, since he has become so active and still eats all of the time, but am still going to try to add more good fats to his diet. We'll go back in a month for a flu shot and a weight check.

Dr. Catherine was also very impressed that Fisher is talking so much already, even though he wasn't interested in showing off for her. :) We love getting good reports from the doctor!

His stats at 15 months:

weight: 20 lbs 6 oz (5th %ile)
height: 30 1/2 inches (50th %ile)
head: 18 1/4 inches (25th-50th %ile)

Fisher is 15 Months Old!

he was all about trying to get his sticker off again this month

making "vroom vroom" noises

ready to get down

hey mom!

he was so mad because I put him back in the chair to try to get one more picture :)

*Fisher weighs 20 pounds 6 oz (5th %ile). He is 30 1/2 inches tall (50th %ile) and his head circumference is 18 1/4 inches (25th-50th %ile).

*He wears cloth diapers (size 3 in a disposable) and 6-9/6-12 month outfits, depending on the brand. He has two 12-18 month outfits he can wear.

*He is a big time walker now! He's starting to lose his drunken sailor walk-ha! He will still crawl, but not very often.

*He is a climber! Stairs, chairs, you name it, he climbs it!

* He still has a great appetite. Most of the time, he is very willing to try whatever I give him. His current favorite is crackers and grapes. He is a sippy cup pro!

*He still loves to be outside. We play outside almost every day, although we don't stay out for very long since it's so hot.

*He's sleeping in his bed every night. He still flips and flops all over the bed. He will stand up in the bed when he wants to get out. He's also gnawed on his crib rails.

* He is obsessed with books! He has about 5 favorites that he will bring to me and want me to read over and over (and over) again. My limit is 5 times before I tell him to get a new book. :)

*Breastfeeding about 3 times a day and during the night if he wakes up, with a bottle of almond milk at bedtime. I have finally stopped pumping at work, so he gets almond milk on the weekends when Daddy is in charge. He will sleep through the night, or he'll wake up 1-2 times a night. He wakes up for the day between 8-9. He is still napping twice a day, usually an hour long each nap.

*His vocabulary is really developing. His favorite words are "DaDa" and "cracker". He will sometimes say "MaMa". Other words include duck, dog, Duchess, outside, choo-choo, bath, how do, tractor ,ball, light, hot, Abby (the neighbor's dog), helicoptor (I promise he says it!), book, poo poo (not when he has it in his diaper, though), baby, doctor, teeth (which comes out like "tee"), cheese, bubbles, bottle, and diaper (which he says "biper"). His words are hit or miss-sometimes he'll say them, sometimes not. He's also appearing to be picking up on some signs. He understands "milk", and will (somewhat) sign "all done" sometimes.

*He loves to play in the floor with his toys. He loves anything with wheels; he likes to push his toys across the floor. His favorite toy right now is his tractor and his books.

*He is very loving. He loves to give hugs and lay on you (only when he's in the mood).

*He has learned how to blow kisses. Well, the actual "blowing" of them is still being worked on. :) He will also do the "shhhh" motion with his mouth and finger. One of his favorite books says "shhhh", so I've always done the motion when reading it, and now Fishy will do it. He also likes to cluck with his tongue and make his mouth in the shape of an "o". He's a silly boy. :)

*He is still attached to lovie at the hip. He likes to pull her out of the crib and carry her around. When I ask him to get his lovie, he will go get her. When I tell him that lovie wants to stay in the bed and go night night, he throws her back in the crib.

*He is still very much into sucking his thumb. When he's tired he sucks his left thumb and rubs his face with his lovie in his right hand.

*He is getting better at object recognition. When you ask him to point to your nose/mouth/ears/eyes/tongue/teeth , he can-he's the best at nose and ears, though. When asked where his hair is, he'll pat his head. He can point out his belly button. He will also get his book, ball, lovie, tractor when asked. He will also get a specific book when asked. One of his favorite books is about baby animals. I will ask him to get his baby book and he'll bring it to me. He will also point to a light and say "light", as well as point to something hot (like a cup of coffee) and say "hot".

*Still loves taking a shower.

* He has thirteen teeth ( I think)! He has four on the bottom and four on the top. He has his top and bottom left side molars. He's got the bottom right molar, and the top one is about to break through. His canines are also through on the top, and the bottom ones are close to breaking through the skin. It's a good thing he enjoys brushing his teeth!

*Nicknames: Fishy, Bubs, Bubba, Bubby, Baby, Buddy, Fisher-man, love

Footy PJs

It's time for footy pjs again! This is my absolute favorite kind of pjs for Fishy. There's just something so sweet about them... Sigh :)

He can still wear his pjs that he got for Christmas last year! Good thing, since they're my favorite!!

Here's Fishy all fresh from the shower and ready for bed. I love this little boy!!

So Very Thankful

I'm so thankful that my Fishy has a YaYa that loves to take care of him when I work an extra shift.

Makes this momma's heart happy to know that he's being loved on just like he would if his Daddy or I was taking care of him.

Lately

We've been playing outside a lot lately since the weather has been so nice. YaYa and Pops got Fisher his belated birthday present-he got a play gym! He has been enjoying climbing on it a lot. And he got a big kick out of the box it came in, too.

A little naked time...
