Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter! We're so blessed to serve a risen Savior! I hope that we never lose the wonder of hearing the story of Christ's resurrection and what it means for us!

I worked Saturday night and of course, also had to work Sunday night. The boys had planned on going to church, but Daddy is dealing with a nasty cough and congestion, so they didn't make it to church today. Instead, I napped for a few hours and then got up so we could go to my grandparent's for dinner.

the boys each got chalk, bubbles, sunglasses, bandaids, and a new shirt in their Easter baskets.

our growing family! We are so blessed.
So, no nice picture of us in all our Easter finery. But, I pray that we're constantly conveying to the boys that it's not about the clothes or the gifts, but about our hearts and being so thankful that we have a Savior who loved us enough to die for us!

April Update 4

I'm almost caught up! We had our celebration of February/March/April birthdays at YaYa and Pops' house on Friday night. After dinner, the boys had an egg hunt in the yard.

Mom's pistachio cake with strawberry icing. It was delicious!
Saturday was our Easter egg hunt at Buckhead. The boys were really excited!

how a picture with all three boys usually ends up looking!

F was so nice to hold B's basket and help coach him on finding eggs

as good as it got with all three of them!

April Update 3

The boys had their Easter parties at school last week. I was able to go back and forth between them, and we had a lot of fun!

excited about his egg hunt!

the three amigos!

we have loved the weather being so nice! We ate dinner outside several times last week, and it was so nice!
This weekend the boys and I worked on our garden. We went to Lowe's on Friday to get all of our supplies.

I was sweating bullets by the time we checked out! Corralling three boys and this basket of stuff wore me out!

F got new gloves, too!

I should have gotten this one gloves, since he insists on carrying around worms...

TaDa! Our raised garden bed that we built!

the finished product! We planted peas, squash, tomatoes, and strawberries. If I can keep the dog and the boys out of the garden, we might actually see some stuff grow, but I'm not holding my breath...

April Update 2

Here's my second update for April!

We dyed Easter eggs last week. I tried a new method with shaving cream and food coloring. It wasn't the most successful thing we've ever done, but the boys enjoyed it.

Pops and Uncle Gary took the boys to church last Saturday for an event about putting on the armor of God. Daddy had to work, so the boys were really excited about going with Pops! They all got shields and swords and thought it was the best thing ever.

I was on call from work last Saturday night, so we took the boys to a park close by the house. They're doing some construction right next to the park, so we explored allllllll the dirt and equipment. It was heaven for the boys! We ended our night with a movie on the front yard with our sweet neighbors and good friends. Then, I was able to put the boys to bed before I ended up having to go to work. It was so nice to spend a normal Saturday night with my family instead of being at work!

April Update 1

I'm very quickly turning into a once a month blogger. Whoops... Oh well! The end of March and beginning of April was filled with visits to and from Daddy's family!

First, John Pop and Nina came to visit from Florida. We loved having them and the boys' cousins over to the house!

sooo proud of his new trick :/
Next, we made a quick trip to Chicago to visit Gama!
we took the boys on a train ride to a neighboring town and went to their children's museum. The boys loved it!

Gama and the boys!

We came back late on a Saturday, so I didn't have to work, and actually got to go to church on Sunday morning for once! It had to be documented.
Later that week, we took a field trip to Jackson to visit the Casey Jones Train Museum. It was a reward for the boys for doing well in school. It was extremely disappointing to the adults, but F said it was "super duper awesome", so it wasn't a total loss!

F decided to try TBall this year. Soccer wasn't his thing last year, but he wanted to give another sport a try. We've had one practice so far, and it's gone (slightly) better than expected.

he was excited!
