Random Post

Fisher loves his kitchen helper he got for Christmas. Now I don't have to do everything with one hand and he gets to "help".

I had my glucola test Friday. That drink makes me want to vomit. Yuck.

Fishy does so good waiting to see the chiro for my appointments.

We had fun at Memaw and Pepaw's. How many 86 year old great grandfathers get down in the floor to play with their greatgrandkids?!

Tractor Tractor!!

A certain little boy is OBSESSED with tractors right now. We were buying paint last night for the nursery (procrastinate much ?!) and he saw the tractor section at Lowe's. we had to go sit on every.single.one. Multiple times. And when we were walking around looking at other stuff, all he kept saying? "Tractor! Tractor!" So cute!!

Tongue Action

Fisher has discovered that he can look at himself in my new phone's camera and has become slightly obsessed with it! We have to take lots of pictures now, and most of them consist of him sticking his tongue out or showing off his teeth. :)

28 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 28 weeks
Size of baby: Baby Nelson is the size of a small cabbage

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained about 20 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes if I'm wearing anything besides sweats and tshirts (which isn't a lot!)
Gender: We won't know until the baby gets here! I think I'm starting to lean towards another boy. Daddy thinks girl. After seeing the ultrasound pictures, most people in my family think boy.
Movement: Yes! Feeling movement a lot now

Sleep: I'm not waking up as often, so I'm sleeping better ( I still wake up 1-3 times a night). I've been using my big body pillow for the last few weeks, and it's helped me sleep better.

What I miss: Nothing this week
Cravings: nothing this week
Symptoms: occasional heartburn and back pain, especially after sitting for a long time or sleeping
Best Moment this week: getting to hear baby's heartbeat (140s), having a good report at the doctor, and officially being in the third trimester!

We are feeling awfully lazy around our house today! We are enjoying being warm and cozy and watching Fishy play with his new toys.

Fisher is 18 Months Old!

it was so hard to get good pictures this month! someone is very very busy, and always wanted to take his sticker off and crumple it up. :) also, his onsie is HUGE, but his 12 month one is a little bit snug :)

*Fisher weighs 22 lbs 13 oz (10th %ile). He is 32 3/4 inches tall, and his head is 18 3/4 inches (both around the 50th %ile).
*He wears cloth diapers (size 3 in a disposable) and 9-12/6-12 month outfits, depending on the brand. He can wear 18 month long alls and some 12-18 month shirts. He wears a 4.5 or size 5 shoe.

* He still has a great appetite. Most of the time, he is very willing to try whatever I give him. His current favorites are oatmeal, bananas, and cheese. He is a sippy cup pro!

*He still loves reading books all of the time. We need some new ones-I've got all of his memorized!

* He is drinking water and milk during the day, but mostly water. He will only drink milk out of a specific sippy cup. We are officially off the bottle-YAY! He has done great giving it up-I just stopped giving him one at bedtime, and while he asked for it a few days, he hasn't skipped a beat.
* He goes to bed between 830 and 930, and wakes up around that same time in the morning. Sometimes bedtimes are a battle, taking 1-2 hours to get him to sleep. He very rarely wakes up during the night anymore, which is wonderful!
* Fishy is mostly down to one nap a day. He is normally up for about 2-3 hours, then he goes down for a nap for roughly 1.5-2.5 hours. Occasionally, he will take two naps, but only if his first nap is about an hour long.

*New words that I can remember include Jamie, tree, Lady/Karl/Jack (dogs), rainbow (I think only I can recognize that one), fish, yogurt (gogurt), banana (nana), purple, truck, lovie (lully).

*He is recognizing animals and their sounds. He can do cow/moo, duck/quack quack (which he says kack-kack), cat/meow (he says mow), snake/sssssss, dog/woof woof, sheep/baa, rooster/cock a (he doesn't finish the sound yet). He also recognizes horse, frog, chicken, bird, mouse, goat, and pig. He'll point them out but he won't say their sound yet.

*He loves to play in the floor with his toys. He loves anything with wheels; he likes to push his toys across the floor. He loves pens and pretending to write. He also loves playing with Daddy's old wallet and cards.  He likes to show off his muscles when asked. :)

*He has been especially loving lately-always giving (wet) kisses and hugs. I love it!

*Lovie is still very much a constant attachment, and so is his thumb in his mouth when he's tired.

*He is working on learning more complicated body parts. We've been working on elbows and other areas.

*Still loves taking a shower.
*He likes to grab my phone and say "cheese". :)

*He loves to help throw clothes, mainly socks, in the dryer. He will also attempt to help me put utensils in the dishwasher, although he would rather take them out! He's such a good helper. :)

* He has sixteen teeth! He has eight on the bottom and eight on the top. He has his top and bottom molars on both sides. I have no idea if he has more because he won't let me look, but I don't think he's been teething lately.

*Nicknames: Fishy, Bubba, Bubby, Baby, Buddy, Bug, love

Starry Nights!

Tonight, Fisher and I went to Starry Nights at Shelby Farms with YaYa, Pops, Jamie, and Asher. Every Monday, they allow people to walk through and look at the lights instead of viewing them from the car. We thought the boys might enjoy riding in the wagon a little more than riding in the car. :) We had a great time! It was a little chilly, but not too bad since we were walking so much. The boys did great and enjoyed looking at all of the lights and animals that were there.

all bundled up and ready to go. Pops did a great job pulling the wagon!

We also let the boys ride the ponies and go through the petting zoo. Asher LOVED everything about it! Fisher-not so much. He would pet the horse, but was not a huge fan of riding it. It took him a long time to warm up to the goats and be willing to pet them. It was so funny!

He was not excited. See Asher behind him? He was all over that pony!

"YaYa, get me off!"

not too sure about the goats. They were so cute!

"hey Mom!"

maybe I'll pet it...

nope!

all finished and ready to go home!
We had a great time at Starry Nights! Thanks YaYa and Pops for taking us and making lots of great memories!!
