Sullivan's Third Birthday Party

We celebrated Sullivan's birthday this past weekend. He wanted a Paw Patrol party, so that's what he had! Conveniently, the boys love Paw Patrol, so we already had lots of decor to work with! Fisher had a PP party last year, so we still had plenty of napkins to use-ha! Sullivan picked out his balloons and his cupcake colors-he told me that he wanted blue for Chase, pink for Sky, and orange for Zuma. So, that's why we had blue, pink, and orange cupcakes. He didn't want to wear anything special, so I didn't make him a shirt. We had a lot of fun celebrating the birthday boy!

I made this banner for Sullivan's first birthday, and it's still going strong!

YaYa and Pops and all their wild boys

The food wasn't themed, but we did have hot dogs, which goes very well with a Paw Patrol party

Baker is Six Months Old!

* Baker weighs 16 lbs 4 oz (25% percentile) and is 27 inches long (75th percentile).
* He wears size 3-6/6-9 month clothes, and he wears size small cloth diapers and size 3 disposable diapers.
*He's definitely a cat napper. He is rotten and won't really sleep unless he's being held, so he really only takes a longer nap in the afternoon while the older boys are sleeping and I get a chance to sit down! He'll nap for a long time in the carrier, too.
*We've had some regression in the sleep department. He had an ear infection and cut a tooth at the same time, so he started waking up every 2 hours, which he barely even did as a newborn. Thankfully, that seems to be resolving.
* He nurses all the time-anywhere from every 30 minutes to every 2 hours
*He's taking a bottle like a champ now! He'll take anywhere from 3-5 ounces at a time while I'm gone. He does start crying and fussing as soon as he sees me when I come home, though.
*His eyes are still blue. They change all the time; sometimes they're more of a gray blue, but they're usually pretty dark.
*He sucks on his fingers all the time. This creates a lot of drool!
*He's sitting up by himself! I still don't leave his side when he does it since he's still wobbly.
*He rolls everywhere!
*He has a tooth! He has one of his bottom teeth.
*He loves to sleep on his belly! I let him sleep like this when he naps on the play mat.
* He loves to be swaddled and sleeps best that way
*He likes to lay on his play mat and has started grabbing at his toys and trying to eat them. He loves to hold things and it's so cute to see him try to focus on his toys and grab them.
*He smiles and coos all the time! He loves to "talk"
*He is ticklish! He laughs so hard when I tickle him! I love seeing the dimple on his cheek pop out when he is smiling big.
*He is so rotten! He loves to be held and lets you know (very loudly) that he doesn't like it when he gets put down.
*He tolerates bath time. He doesn't scream or cry, but he doesn't act like he loves it either!
* The older boys are still madly in love with him! They are always kissing on him and petting him. They want to sit right beside him all the time. it's so very sweet.
* Nicknames: Baker Baby, Bubby

Sullivan is Three!

Sullivan turned three this week! It's so hard to believe that three years have flown by already! He is such a joy in our lives. He's extremely strong willed, which I know will end up being a good trait, but it makes for some interesting times right now! He's so tenderhearted-we'll be watching something on TV, and he'll look at me with tears in his big brown eyes and ask me "why he sad, Momma?". He also gets very upset when he gets disciplined. He loves to eat, and is constantly telling me "I a little hungdy (hungry)". He has the sweetest voice that I need to get better at capturing on film-he has a hard time saying his letter R. He has opinions on everything, especially about what he wears. He loves shoes, particularly his cowboy boots. He loves to laugh, and he loves to touch and snuggle. He loves his brothers-he wants to do everything Fisher does, and is constantly touching and kissing Baker. He is my curly headed sweetheart, and I am so thankful to be his Momma!

We went to Jumping World the day before his birthday and had a blast! I didn't manage to take many pictures, but we were worn out after so much jumping and then eating pizza (Sullivan's choice).

birthday morning cinnamon rolls! He got to choose what he wanted for breakfast, and I think it was a great choice!

blowing out three candles!

We stopped by Whimsy Cookie Company to pick out a sweet treat for my boy who loves sweets. These cookies were so good! I kept asking him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he would keep saying "decorate".

opening a few presents on his birthday

Aunt Brette and Uncle Jacob got him some Birkenstocks! Sullivan loves shoes, so he was very excited!

of course Fisher was right there helping

reading his new book

I love his grin!

At our three year old checkup. I just had to laugh, because he gets so hysterical every time he has to get weighed. These are his one, two, and three year checkup pictures. He just wanted me to hold his hand so badly. "Stay with me, Mommy" is what he kept saying.

Fisher got a free exam-Dr. Catherine did everything to him first because Sullivan wasn't having anything to do with it! But he's very healthy. He weighs 28.5 lbs (we've moved up to the 25th percentile from the 3rd) and he is 36 inches tall (10-25th percentile).

Party time! He decided on a Paw Patrol party.

with his beloved cupcakes. We went to order them last week, and he wanted blue for Chase, pink for Skye, and orange for Zuma (Paw Patrol characters). He asked every single day if it was time to go get them yet.

singing Happy Birthday

he loved opening his presents!
We've had a great week celebrating our big boy! I pray that he continues to feel so loved and special, and that we parent him like God desires us to.

Long Time No Blog...

looking so grown up

these boys are so wild and crazy. Poor Baker is just stuck with them!

We made a homemade rocket a few weeks ago. They boys had so much fun!

First dentist visit for Sullivan! I was so proud of him-normally hes' very timid and gets pretty upset in new situations, but he did so well! He spoke with everyone who talked to him, and didn't get upset at all. This was a huge blessing, considering I had all 3 boys with  me!

Fisher had a great dentist visit, too! I told my mom that I don't think the boys have ever been so well behaved at the same time-EVER!

Baby's first food! He tried butternut squash and was not a huge fan.

Sullivan picked out a dress for Aunt Jodie while we were at Target a few weeks ago. It was so sweet. He asked her "Jodie, did you like your dress?".

He's a bigger fan of sweet potatoes!

Two babies and a dog

National Pancake Day! We made a quick trip to IHOP before MDO and we enjoyed our free pancakes!
