First Trimester Recap

Since I'm almost to my third (!) trimester with baby #3 and have yet to talk about my pregnancy other than our announcement at 20 weeks, I thought I'd do a little recap of each trimester. For myself, because most people probably don't care-ha!

First positive test! We had been trying, so I was not so patiently waiting for a positive sign. I had no symptoms at this point, and knew it was probably too early to test, but I couldn't wait! I had been charting everything, so I knew exactly when I could get my earliest positive sign. I had a cheap test, and was thrilled when I saw two lines! I still didn't tell the husband, because I wanted to be sure.

Two days later, I had bought a more expensive test. It was still positive! Definitely pregnant. At this exact moment, I was thinking "we are absolutely insane for having a third child". I still think we're crazy...

I finally told Nellie a few days later. I asked him if he was going to have any vacation days available in late August or early September, and his response?"Are you kidding me?!" He thinks we're crazy for having a third child every single day!

The first trimester was great! I had nausea all of two times, and I was mostly tired, but that comes along with chasing after two wild boys. My biggest complaint was just a general feeling of 'blah' and feeling a little like I had a GI bug. Thankfully, nothing was bad enough to keep me from running after the boys or clueing anyone in to the fact that I was pregnant.

I didn't have any specific cravings or aversions that I can think of. All in all, the first trimester was very smooth sailing! My first appointment with our OB wasn't until I was 8 weeks along.

First view of the nugget at 8 weeks and 4 days. The baby was measuring 8 weeks exactly, which was right in line with all of my charting. The boys went to my appointment with us, and they weren't that impressed.

Mother's Day and Some Extras

The boys giving YaYa some of her gifts.

It wasn't a traditional Mother's Day for me; I worked all night Saturday and had to go back on Sunday night, but these boys make every day special! I'm so blessed to be their mama.

Oh, just reading the paper this weekend. He takes it so seriously-how is he almost 4?!

MDO Activities

Fisher just finished his first semester of MDO. I was so hesitant about him starting in January, but it has been so good for him! He has learned so much and become so much more social. It's been nice to spend some one on one time with Sullivan, too. We got to see Fisher in action at some of his end of the year activities.

The first thing was his tumbling class. He wasn't too excited about showing off in front of a crowd, but after sitting with me for awhile, he decided to give it a try.

On Tuesday, they had a fun day with a bounce house, ice cream, and face painting. His teacher was kind enough to send me some pictures.

We went to the end of the year program on Thursday. Each age group sang a few songs. I wasn't able to get great pictures, because my zoom is awful, but we enjoyed it. Fisher didn't sing, but he did make some of the motions. And when the music was too loud, he covered his ears. By the end, he had had enough, so he just sat down on stage. It was hysterical!

We had such a positive experience over the past few months, and I know Fisher can't wait to go back in the fall!

A "Little Bitty" Trim

F got his hair trimmed a few weeks ago by Ms. Brenna. He said he was getting a "little bitty trim". He did great for only have his hair cut 3 (I think) times! He got a sucker after his trim.

She took about an inch off, but you can't even tell because his hair is so long!
