Life with Boys

Here are some pictures from our life from the past month. Always busy and never dull!

Practicing rolling over

We visited Santa a few weeks ago. This is the first year none of the boys cried, although they were still a little shy. Fisher and Sullivan thought that Santa would give them the presents they asked for right then-guess I didn't do a good job of explaining how that works!

Look at all those rolls! He is the happiest baby.

Fisher got a stamp out of the treasure box at MDO. No one was safe.

I was able to go to Fisher's Christmas program. We ate lunch, made an edible craft, his class sang "Happy Birthday, Jesus", and they had a book exchange. I'm so thankful I was able to go spend this time with my big boy! And extra thankful that Baker slept the whole time we were there!

Gummy grins and holding his head up!

These big brothers fight over Baker! They want to hold him, touch him, kiss him all the time! And sometimes it drives me crazy, but I am so thankful for their bond and desire to love on him.

Being silly while putting on pajamas one night.

Thanksgiving Week

Posing with a pout

We got to go to MDO to see what Fisher has been learning. He wasn't too excited about performing in front of an audience (read:he sat there and did nothing), but he did decide to participate in the craft that his class made.

Thanksgiving morning baking

So thankful for this little boy!

Trying to get all of them to look in the same direction and smile is virtually impossible

Some of my favorites!

Our little family

We were so blessed to have 58 family members celebrate with us, and we were still missing a few people!

Silly time with my big boy

I'm so thankful for each member of my family!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving season and we are so blessed!

My Best Friend's Wedding

One of my best friends got married the weekend before thanksgiving, and I was blessed to be in her wedding! I've known Lauren for so many years; we went to church and elementary school together, and I was honored to be a part of her special day.

She got married outside on November 21st, and while it was pretty cold, it wasn't terrible! It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed my date night with Nellie and our smallest boy.

The beautiful bride!

Some of my dearest and oldest friends, Whitney and Amanda

We go pretty well together!

Polar Express

YaYa and Pops surprised the boys with tickets to ride the Polar Express the weekend before Thanksgiving. It's one of their favorite movies, so they were really excited.

So excited about their tickets to the North Pole!

Having hot chocolate for the first time!

Trying to get a picture of all these boys is nearly impossible

We were a little disappointed in our ride, but the boys had fun! They still play with their bells and tickets almost a month later. A day or two after we had gone, my mom saw Fisher shaking his bell and saying "I believe". So sweet!

Baker is Three Months Old!

* Baker weighs about 12 1/2 pounds.
* He wears size 0-3 month clothes, and he wears size small cloth diapers and size 2 disposable diapers.
*He's starting to have a lot more awake time! He generally will take 2-4 naps, with a couple of those being more of a catnap than anything. He generally will take at least an hour long morning nap, and a long 2-3 hour afternoon nap.
*He usually sleeps all night long! He'll go down around 10 and sleep until 6 or 7. If he does wake up, it's around 3 or 4, and he goes right back to sleep after eating.
* He nurses all the time-anywhere from every 30 minutes to every 2 hours
*He doesn't like taking a bottle, which has been somewhat problematic now that I'm back at work.
*His eyes are still blue
*He's discovered his hands, and he puts them in his mouth all the time. I think he might turn into a finger sucker.
*He isn't a big fan of tummy time, although he tolerates it a little better now.
*He loves to sleep on his belly! I let him sleep like this when he naps on the play mat.
* He loves to be swaddled and sleeps best that way
*He likes to lay on his play mat and watch the light
*He smiles and coos all the time! He loves to "talk"
*He is ticklish! He laughs so hard when I tickle him! I love seeing the dimple on his cheek pop out when he is smiling big.
*He tolerates bath time. He doesn't scream or cry, but he doesn't act like he loves it either!
* He is loved by his brothers! They are always wanting to tell him "good morning" and "good night", and can't seem to keep their hands off him when he's around. They will wake him up and then be so excited that he's awake! If he cries, they tell him "it's ok Baker". Sullivan likes to make him cry and then tell him that "it's ok Bubby"!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Finally uploaded my pictures from my camera (I seem to say that a lot!). Here are some pictures we took at the pumpkin patch!

The money shot! Everyone was looking at the camera and smiling-a miracle!

Baker is Two Months Old!

* Baker weighs 11 lbs 11 oz and is 23 inches long (both 50th percentile).
* He wears size 0-3 month clothes, and he wears newborn/size small cloth diapers and size 1 disposable diapers.
*He's starting to have a lot more awake time! He generally will take 2-4 naps, with a couple of those being more of a catnap than anything. He generally will take at least an hour long morning nap, and a long 2-3 hour afternoon nap.
*He usually sleeps between 3-4 hours at night, but he's given me a few 5-6 hour stretches, and has even slept through the night once!
* He nurses all the time-anywhere from every 30 minutes to every 2 hours
*He's taken one bottle (only 2 ounces) like a champ!
*His eyes are still blue
*He isn't a big fan of tummy time, although he tolerates it a little better now.
*He loves to sleep on his belly! I let him sleep like this when he naps on the play mat.
* He loves to be swaddled and sleeps best that way
*He likes to lay on his play mat and watch the light
*He's now smiling and cooing! It's so sweet to listen to his little voice and watch him smile at people. I'm not gonna lie, I teared up the first time he smiled at me.

This and That

My boys all cleaned up and ready for bed a few weeks ago

Fisher and his friend Jeremiah at their last soccer game. Can I just say that we are so glad that soccer is over?! Either Fisher is too young for organized sports, or maybe he just doesn't like soccer, but it was like pulling teeth to get him to play.
He just got his trophy yesterday because we missed his party (actually, we forgot, but that's another story). He loves his trophy- some things he said "I love my trophy, and my trophy loves me" and "I got this trophy because I'm awesome at soccer" ha

Caught this one putting on YaYa's lipstick last week. He called it "girl Chapstick"

I had to go back to work last weekend. I sure did miss my guys!
