Fisher is 16 Months Old!

*Fisher weighs 21 lbs, 6 oz (5th %ile).

*He wears cloth diapers (size 3 in a disposable) and 6-9/6-12 month outfits, depending on the brand. He has two 12-18 month outfits he can wear. He wears a 4.5 or size 5 shoe.

*He walks everywhere now. He is also starting to run. He loves it when he gets chased around.

*He is a climber! Stairs, chairs, you name it, he climbs it!

* He still has a great appetite. Most of the time, he is very willing to try whatever I give him. His current favorites are oatmeal, bananas, and cheese. He is a sippy cup pro!

*He still loves to be outside. We play outside every day.

*He loves kicking balls. He's gotten really good at dribbling with his feet-soccer star in the making!

*He's sleeping in his bed every night. He still flips and flops all over the bed. He will stand up in the bed when he wants to get out. He's also gnawed on his crib rails.

* He is obsessed with books! He has about 5 favorites that he will bring to me and want me to read over and over (and over) again. My limit is 5 times before I tell him to get a new book. :)

*We stopped breastfeeding at 16 months and 2 days. My supply was gone because of this pregnancy, and he didn't care anything about breastfeeding anymore. He drinks water during the day and organic whole milk at bedtime. He refuses to drink milk during the day in his sippy cup. He drinks about 5-9 ounces at bedtime, and if he wakes up during the night, he may drink 3-5 more ounces.

*At 16 months, I feel like I can finally say that he consistently sleeps through the night! He goes to bed between 830 and 930, and wakes up around that same time in the morning. If he wakes up at night, it's usually between 3-5. He will either have some milk or just snuggle with me and rock for a little while until he goes back to sleep.

* Fishy is mostly down to one nap a day. He decided that all by himiself. He is normally up for about 2-3 hours, then he goes down for a nap for roughly 1.5-2.5 hours.

*His vocabulary is really developing. His favorite word is "Abby". He is finally saying "MaMa" consistently. Other words include DaDa/Daddy, cracker, duck, dog, Duchess, outside, choo-choo, bath, how do, tractor ,ball, light, hot, helicoptor (I promise he says it!), book, poo poo (not when he has it in his diaper, though), baby, doctor, teeth (which comes out like "tee"), cheese, bubbles, bottle, sock (which comes out like "cock"), shoes, Asher, YaYa, Pops, Jodie, Allie/Chevy/Covey/Sunny (my parents' dogs), go, no, bird, moon (and he can point it out to you), cookie (which he only knows about because they're mentioned in books we read) and diaper (which he says "biper"). His words are hit or miss-sometimes he'll say them, sometimes not. He's also appearing to be picking up on some signs. He understands "milk", and will (somewhat) sign "all done" sometimes.

*He is recognizing animals and their sounds. He can do cow/moo, duck/quack quack (which he says kack-kack), cat/meow (he says mow), snake/sssssss, dog/woof woof. He also recognizes horse, frog, chicken, bird, mouse, goat, and pig. He'll point them out but he won't say their sound yet.

*He loves to play in the floor with his toys. He loves anything with wheels; he likes to push his toys across the floor. His favorite toy right now is his tractor and his books.

*He is very loving. He loves to give hugs and lay on you (only when he's in the mood).

*He has learned how to blow kisses. Well, the actual "blowing" of them is still being worked on. :) He will also do the "shhhh" motion with his mouth and finger. He has started blowing, too-like on his food or attempting to blow bubbles. He also likes to cluck with his tongue and make his mouth in the shape of an "o". He loves tongues! He likes it when I stick mine out and make funny noises at him.

*He is still attached to lovie at the hip. He likes to pull her out of the crib and carry her around. When I ask him to get his lovie, he will go get her. When I tell him that lovie wants to stay in the bed and go night night, he throws her back in the crib. Lovie that belongs in the car now comes inside and is the downstairs lovie. He drags her everywhere!

*He is still very much into sucking his thumb. When he's tired he sucks his left thumb and rubs his face with his lovie in his right hand.

*He is getting better at object recognition. When you ask him to point to your nose/mouth/ears/eyes/tongue/teeth , he can-he's the best at nose and ears, though. When asked where his hair is, he'll pat his head. When you ask where is his hand is, he'll raise it in the air. He can point out his belly button-I think he's confused that with baby, though. I'll ask him where Mama's baby is, and he lifts up his shirt and points at his belly button. Or he points at himself. He will also get his book, ball, lovie, tractor when asked. He will also get a specific book when asked. He loves putting on his shoes.

*Still loves taking a shower.

*He has become very cautious about going to different places. When we go to my grandparents (which is all the time), he doesn't want to walk very far into the room for a while. He has to scope the place and all the people out first.

*He likes to grab my phone and say "cheese". :)

* He has sixteen teeth! He has eight on the bottom and eight on the top. He has his top and bottom molars on both sides.

*Nicknames: Fishy, Bubs, Bubba, Bubby, Baby, Buddy, Fisher-man, love

Asher is One!

We celebrated Asher's first birthday this weekend. Jamie decided on a "Very Hungry Caterpillar' theme, and it did not disappoint! She did a great job on the party planning, and the weather was perfect. We had so much fun celebrating this little boy!!

Happy 5th Anniversary!

Today marks FIVE years since we said "I do". It has flown by! I am so thankful to be married to my wonderful husband, even though marriage is hard. However, it's always more fun when someone is along for the ride with you. :)

We had the most beautiful wedding on the most beautiful day. I loved our wedding, and am so thankful that we had such a wonderful day to start our married life together.

My definition of our marriage has been this: "it's not always easy, and it's not always fun, but it's always worth it."

I have found the man that makes it worth it. I love you and I look forward to many more years together!!

Regurg

**WARNING**
The post below contains a description and a picture of vomit. If you have a weak stomach, don't look. Don't say I didn't warn you!!

Ever wondered what bananas, peach yogurt, and cheese look like all mixed together? Yeah, me neither. I got to find out, though!

Gross, huh?! Initially, I thought Fisher gagged himself with a piece of cheese and was just going to throw up a little bit. So, I tried to catch it. Well, it just kept coming! So, I abandoned that idea and instead I took a picture. :)

Fisher was mad that I took a picture first, but I thought it was funny. My mom thinks I'm a sick person-ha!!

You'll be happy to know he's fine now-no more vomiting. And I promise that's the last throw up picture I show you. Maybe. :)
