Patty Cake Patty Cake

Fisher has learned how to clap! He started showing off his new skill on Saturday. He's not consistent with his clapping yet, but it is so much fun to play patty cake with him and watch him try to figure things out! And yes, I teared up when he did it the first time!! :)

Christmas Afternoon

After Christmas morning at home, we headed to Mom and Dad's for Christmas there. We had eaten prime rib for lunch at Memaw and Pepaw's, then we went to Mom and Dad's.

Fisher and Asher got Yaya and Pops coffee mugs with their handprints on them. Those boys are so thoughtful :)

All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas celebration! I loved that Fisher was here, and we can't wait to celebrate many more Christmas seasons to come with our sweet boy!

Christmas Morning

Our Christmas morning was really a Christmas Early Afternoon. We all slept in, and then Daddy slept in some more. :) Fisher ate some avocado for the first time, and we played. Santa had visited the night before, because he's thoughtful like that, but Fisher was kind enough not to notice that he had come to our house until it was time to open presents.

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve! Every year, we all go to my Memaw and Pepaw's house. We eat a late lunch-for the past few years we've been eating turkey, ham, and all kinds of appetizer foods. Then, some of us go to the Christmas Eve service at church. After we get back from church, it's present time! It is always so crazy-the kids really get into it. The adults have been playing dirty santa for a few years, which is pretty fun. After presents have been open and wrapping paper flung everywhere, we eat dessert. Yum! This year did not disappoint! It's the highlight of the Christmas season for me-being with the family I love the most, making wonderful memories!

Fisher is 7 Months Old!

*Fisher weighs  17 pounds 3 oz.






*He wears cloth diapers  and 3-6 or 6-9 month outfits.





*He can roll over!! He can roll from front to back and back to front.




*He can sit up on his own! He's doing much better about sitting up for longer periods of time, but I still don't leave him alone because he tumps over and gets very mad at me!


*He's sleeping in his bed every night




*Breastfeeding every 2.5-3.5 hours (when he takes a bottle, it's usually 6-9 ounces). ! He will wake up anywhere from 2-5 and "talk" for a little while or sometimes want to nurse, but he goes back to sleep until 6-7. Then, he'll nurse and usually go back to sleep for a few more hours. I want to work on getting him to bed earlier; right now he doesn't go to sleep until 830-930.


* He LOVES to eat! He's eaten sweet potatoes, carrots, butternut and yellow squash, green beans, peas, bananas, avocados, pineapple-he loves it all!





*LOVES to be outside! He can be screaming his head off, and will instantly be quiet when you step outside. He also is loving the dogs right now. He loves to sit on Lenny and grab her ears. He also loves it when the dogs "attack" him-we'll chase them around and when they turn and jump up in the air, he laughs so hard!






*He is smiling, laughing, and cooing all of the time! He's a talker! :) His favorite new game with Daddy is that Daddy will say "Ack" to him and Fisher will say "Ack" back-they can go on and on!







*He loves to be in his jumperoo or his Johnny Jump up.

*He chews on his fingers a lot. He's not sucking his thumb as often, but he'll still do it occasionally.



*Loves bath time and loves to kick and splash




* He has two teeth! He has both of his bottom front teeth.
