Fisher is 13 Months Old!

what a mess!

*Fisher weighs 20 pounds, 9 ounces.




*He wears cloth diapers and 6-9/6-12 month outfits, depending on the brand.


*He is getting closer to walking on his own! He cruises on everything, and is a pro at walking behind his walker. He has stood by himself for a few seconds at a time, but hasn't gone from sitting to standing by himself yet.


*He is a climber! Stairs, chairs, you name it, he climbs it!

* He still has a great appetite. Most of the time, he is very willing to try whatever I give him. His current favorites are blueberries and strawberries. He is still working at drinking out of a sippy cup, but is getting better.


*He still loves to be outside. We play outside almost every day, although we don't stay out for very long since it's so hot.

*He's sleeping in his bed every night. He still flips and flops all over the bed. He will stand up in the bed when he wants to get out. He's also gnawed on his crib rails.


* He is loving books right now, which makes this momma very happy! We read multiple books several times a day, and we always read a book before prayers and bedtime.


*Breastfeeding about every 3-4 hours (when he takes a bottle, it's usually 6-9 ounces). He's back to waking up 2-3 times a night, but still sleeping until around 9 most mornings. He is still napping twice a day, usually an hour long each nap.


*His vocabulary is really developing. His favorite word is still "DaDa". He will sometimes say "MaMa". Other words include duck, dog, Duchess, outside, choo-choo, bath. His favorite new phrase is "how do", which he learned from Elizabeth. I'm probably forgetting some, though. His words are hit or miss-sometimes he'll say them, sometimes not. He's also appearing to be picking up on some signs. He understands "milk", and will (somewhat) sign "all done" sometimes.

* He loves to clap and pay Patty Cake. He will lift up his arms if he wants to be picked up. He will give hi fives and wave goodbye or hello (sometimes on command, sometimes spontaneously).

*He loves it when you sneeze or cough, real or fake-he laughs every single time!

*He loves to play in the floor with his toys. He loves anything with wheels; he likes to push his toys across the floor.

*He is giving "kisses" now. He gives great big open mouth slobbery kisses. He'll sometimes do it when you ask him to, but mostly it's just because he feels like it. :) He also likes to give hugs, too.

*He is very attached to his lovie. He drapes it over his face when he sleeps, chews on its head, and talks to it. He now wants to have it when he's not in his crib. We now have two more lovies-one stays at Yaya's and one is for the car. :)

*He is still very much into sucking his thumb. When he's tired he sucks his left thumb and rubs his face with his lovie in his right hand.

*Still loves taking a shower.



* He has eight teeth! He has four on the bottom and four on the top. He's getting some molars now, but they haven't popped through all the way yet.
