*Fisher weighs around 20 lbs ( He was 19 lbs 10 oz at the doctor's office a few weeks ago).
*He wears cloth diapers and 6-9/6-12 month outfits, depending on the brand.
*He is crawling! Fisher is in to EVERYTHING!! His favorite things to play with are the dog bowls, all cords and outlets, and picture frames that are lower to the ground. He also tries to play in the dog's water bowl. so gross. Fisher has two different ways of crawling-on carpet/soft surfaces, he'll crawl "correctly" (both knees); on harder surfaces, he does a "broken leg" crawl. He is pulling up on everything these days. He's not cruising yet, but I don't think it's very far away.
* He's eating everything we eat. He really likes poppyseed chicken casserole right now. A typical day in food for him consists of oatmeal and banana/avocado/yogurt for breakfast, avocado/yogurt (depending on whether he's had it already that day) and a grilled cheese (shared by Mommy) for lunch, and dinner is whatever we're eating. He likes to snack on organic puffs and veggie straws. He's not too fond of blueberries and strawberries at the moment-they seem to be really sour to him. He does not like drinking out of a sippy cup, but will take sips of water out my glass/bottle all day long.
*He still loves to be outside. We go on wagon rides or I push him in the jogging stroller most days.
*He's sleeping in his bed every night. He still flips and flops all over the bed. When he wakes up in the morning, he will sit up in his crib and clap. It is so cute to watch on the baby monitor. :) Since he's started getting up on his knees, his mattress has been lowered.
* He is loving books right now, which makes this momma very happy! We read multiple books several times a day, and we always read a book before prayers and bedtime.
*Breastfeeding about every 3 hours (when he takes a bottle, it's usually 6-9 ounces). He's back to waking up 2-3 times a night, but still sleeping until around 9 most mornings.
*He's talking! He says "DaDa" and "MaMa". DaDa is still his main word. He hasn't said MaMa in forever. :( He will say "bath", "bye", "Uh Oh", something that sounds like "Duchess" (our dog), and I've been working on "Yaya" (he's close!).
* He loves to clap and pay Patty Cake. He will lift up his arms if he wants to be picked up. He will give hi fives and wave goodbye or hello (sometimes on command, sometimes spontaneously).
*He loves to play in the floor with his toys. His favorite toy at home is his big red boucy ball and his big yellow balloon. His favorite toy at his Yaya's is a red plastic spoon. His other favorite "toy" is the dogs. He is always looking at them wanting to see what they're doing and where they are. This is not fun at mealtimes when I'm trying to get him to eat, but is really cute the rest of the time. Lenny still only tolerates him, but Duchess loves Fisher! She will try to lick his face (so gross. We try to avoid that!), and is so good about letting him grab her tail and ears.
*He is giving "kisses" now. He gives great big open mouth slobbery kisses. He'll sometimes do it when you ask him to, but mostly it's just because he feels like it. :)
*He is very attached to his lovie. He drapes it over his face when he sleeps, chews on its head, and talks to it. He now wants to have it when he's not in his crib. We now have two more lovies-one stays at Yaya's and one is for the car. :)
*He is still very much into sucking his thumb. When he's tired he sucks his left thumb and rubs his face with his lovie in his right hand.
*Loves bath time and loves to kick and splash. He also loves taking a shower now, too. As the weatehr has gotten warmer, his love of water has translated into loving pool time, too.
* He has eight teeth! He has four on the bottom and four on the top. He's got a few more coming in, but they haven't broken through the skin yet.
*He LOVES to push things around! He's got a toy train in his room that he will push everywhere. He also pushes his toy cars around his room, too. He loves to spin the wheels.
*Nicknames: Budders, Fish, Fisher-man, Fishy, Tooters, Bubs, Bubba (I have no idea where this came from. It just slips out sometimes!).
Happy 11 months Fisher!!!
