First Trimester Recap

Since I'm almost to my third (!) trimester with baby #3 and have yet to talk about my pregnancy other than our announcement at 20 weeks, I thought I'd do a little recap of each trimester. For myself, because most people probably don't care-ha!

First positive test! We had been trying, so I was not so patiently waiting for a positive sign. I had no symptoms at this point, and knew it was probably too early to test, but I couldn't wait! I had been charting everything, so I knew exactly when I could get my earliest positive sign. I had a cheap test, and was thrilled when I saw two lines! I still didn't tell the husband, because I wanted to be sure.

Two days later, I had bought a more expensive test. It was still positive! Definitely pregnant. At this exact moment, I was thinking "we are absolutely insane for having a third child". I still think we're crazy...

I finally told Nellie a few days later. I asked him if he was going to have any vacation days available in late August or early September, and his response?"Are you kidding me?!" He thinks we're crazy for having a third child every single day!

The first trimester was great! I had nausea all of two times, and I was mostly tired, but that comes along with chasing after two wild boys. My biggest complaint was just a general feeling of 'blah' and feeling a little like I had a GI bug. Thankfully, nothing was bad enough to keep me from running after the boys or clueing anyone in to the fact that I was pregnant.

I didn't have any specific cravings or aversions that I can think of. All in all, the first trimester was very smooth sailing! My first appointment with our OB wasn't until I was 8 weeks along.

First view of the nugget at 8 weeks and 4 days. The baby was measuring 8 weeks exactly, which was right in line with all of my charting. The boys went to my appointment with us, and they weren't that impressed.

  1. Everybody does not purchase an expensive DSLR blur camera to capture/snap the auto blur image. But don’t worry we solve this problem freely.
Our team makes a Blur Background - Blur image app for blurry photoblur.
After using this Blur background Photo Editor App you will make your photos similar to like capture with a DSLR camera.
